Every Child Deserves a Fair Chance to Learn
Axiom Aid provides free and donor-funded mathematical tutoring, financial literacy workshops, and community programs that close learning gaps for underprivileged students across Singapore.
Our Beneficiaries
Students Facing Learning Gaps and Financial Barriers
We prioritise children and teens who are falling behind in foundational numeracy, shut out of private tuition, or navigating difficult home circumstances in Singapore's underserved neighbourhoods.
Primary School Students
Children in Primary 1–6 who struggle with foundational numeracy — multiplication, division, fractions, and word problems — and who lack access to private tuition resources. We provide patient, curriculum-aligned after-school tutoring that builds confidence from the ground up.
Secondary Students & Exam Preparation
Secondary school students preparing for PSLE, O-Level, and N-Level mathematics who need targeted exam coaching, algebra support, and structured revision. Our volunteer tutors deliver exam-readiness without the financial burden of private tuition.
Youth from Public & Migrant Housing
Young learners from HDB rental flats, migrant worker accommodation, and single-parent households often face inconsistent study environments. We bring stable, accessible educational support directly to neighbourhood community centres and outreach hubs.
Families Navigating Financial Hardship
Parents and caregivers from low-income households who struggle to manage household finances, support their children's schooling, and plan for the future. Our financial literacy workshops empower families with practical money management skills and debt awareness tools.
Core Programmes
Math Tutoring: Foundational Support to Exam Readiness
Our structured tutoring programmes follow a clear progression — from building primary school numeracy skills to comprehensive secondary exam preparation. Every session is curriculum-aligned, confidence-building, and delivered by trained volunteer tutors who genuinely care.
Request Tutoring Support
Foundational Numeracy Reinforcement
Step-by-step support for multiplication tables, division concepts, basic fractions, and number patterns. Sessions are designed to fill gaps before they compound, giving every child a solid mathematical foundation.
Word Problems & PSLE Preparation
Targeted coaching on heuristics, model drawing, and multi-step word problems aligned with the PSLE syllabus. Small groups of no more than five students ensure each child receives meaningful individual attention.
Algebra, Geometry & Core Mathematics
Comprehensive support for linear equations, algebraic manipulation, geometry proofs, and statistics. Catch-up coaching is available for students at risk of failing to help them rebuild confidence quickly.
O-Level & N-Level Exam Coaching
Intensive one-on-one tutoring focused on past-paper practice, time management strategies, and mastery of the full O-Level and N-Level mathematics syllabus. No student should miss their academic potential due to financial constraints.
One-on-One Catch-Up Coaching
Personalised one-on-one tutoring for students who are significantly behind grade level. Sessions are tailored to individual learning gaps and delivered with patience and encouragement to rebuild both skills and self-belief.
Accessible Formats
Flexible Access: After-School, Weekend & Holiday Tutoring
We understand that families with limited resources have varied schedules and constraints. Our tutoring is offered across multiple formats to ensure no student is left behind due to timing or access barriers.
After-School Sessions
Weekday sessions from 3pm to 7pm at community centres and partnered school premises across Singapore. Students can drop in for consistent weekly support in a structured, low-pressure environment.
Weekend Reinforcement Classes
Saturday morning and afternoon classes designed for students who cannot attend on weekdays, or who need extra reinforcement on top of their weekday sessions. Small-group format with a maximum of six students per tutor.
School Holiday Support Programmes
Intensive holiday programmes during Singapore's term breaks — March, June, September, and November. Holiday camps focus on revision, bridging gaps, and preparing students for the upcoming academic term or major examinations.
Hybrid Online & In-Person Options
For students with mobility challenges, inconsistent attendance, or families in temporary housing, we offer hybrid tutoring combining online video sessions with in-person community centre visits. Devices and data support are available through our equipment lending programme.
Our programmes operate from multiple neighbourhood community centres and housing-based outreach hubs across Singapore. Contact us to find your nearest tutoring location or request support at your community centre.
Financial Education
Financial Literacy Workshops for Youth and Families
Financial capability is a life skill that underprivileged youth rarely learn in school. Our practical, accessible workshops bridge that gap — teaching budgeting, saving, debt awareness, and money management to teenagers, young adults, and families navigating financial hardship.
Curriculum-complementary workshops delivered within secondary school timetables and ITE life skills programmes.
Weekend and evening workshops accessible to residents in public housing estates, open to all ages.
Interactive group sessions designed for youth centres, grassroots organisations, and social service agencies.
Wider Impact
Community Programmes for Educational Equity
Beyond individual tutoring, we run scalable community initiatives that partner with schools, civic groups, and nonprofits to deliver systemic educational equity across Singapore's most underserved neighbourhoods.
School Partnership Programme
We partner directly with primary and secondary schools to identify at-risk students and integrate supplementary numeracy support into school routines. Partnerships include co-facilitating remedial sessions and supporting teachers with volunteer resources.
Neighbourhood Outreach & Remedial Numeracy
Grassroots outreach programmes bring remedial numeracy support directly to rental flat estates, migrant worker communities, and neighbourhood community hubs. Mobile programme teams make educational equity a reality where students live, not just where they study.
Mentorship & Student Guidance
Consistent adult mentors are matched with students for long-term support that goes beyond academics. Mentors provide encouragement, help navigate school transitions, and offer role models for students from disadvantaged backgrounds who need stable, positive guidance.
Nonprofit & Civic Group Partnerships
We collaborate with social service agencies, People's Association community clubs, grassroots organisations, and other nonprofits to co-deliver scalable educational equity programmes with measurable impact. Our model is designed for replication and partnership growth.

Why Our Volunteers Love It
Impact & Trust
Student Progress, Community Results & Stories
The numbers are encouraging — but the real proof is in the voices of the students, parents, and volunteers whose lives have been touched by educational equity in action.
"Before joining Axiom Aid's programme, my son was failing his Primary 5 maths consistently. Within three months of attending Saturday sessions, he went from an F to a B+. But what moved me most was watching his confidence grow — he stopped saying 'I can't do maths' and started asking to practise more at home. The volunteers genuinely care about every child here."
"The financial literacy workshop was a revelation. Nobody taught me how to budget when I was young. Now I track every dollar and finally feel in control."
"As a volunteer tutor, I look forward to every session. Watching a student understand algebra for the first time — that moment of realisation — is addictive."
"My daughter used to cry before maths tests. After six months with Axiom Aid, she came home excited to share that she topped her class. I am so grateful."
"Our organisation partnered with Axiom Aid to run financial literacy workshops at our community centre. The programme was impeccably structured, the facilitators were warm and knowledgeable, and the feedback from our residents was overwhelmingly positive. Three families told us they had finally started a savings account after attending the session. That is the kind of real-world change we need in our community."
Our Mission & Approach
Advancing Educational Equity, One Student at a Time
Axiom Aid was founded on a simple but urgent belief: that a child's academic potential should never be limited by their family's income. In Singapore, where private tuition costs can be prohibitive for low-income families, we step in to provide what every child deserves — skilled, consistent, and caring educational support.
Our approach centres on three pillars: curriculum-aligned instruction that matches school syllabi, practical life skills education that prepares youth for financial independence, and community-centred outreach that takes support directly to where students live.
